trumpet interviews from the brass junkies podcast:

Ryan Anthony is the former star of Canadian Brass and is currently the Principal Trumpet of the Dallas Symphony.  On top of that he is a cancer survivor, the head of The Ryan Anthony Foundation and one of the nicest human beings you could ever hope to meet.

Kevin Gebo is a member of the US Army Ceremonial Band in Washington DC as well as an internationally performing soloist who has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and the Brass Band of Battle Creek.

Austin Boyer and Buddy Deshler are two young and up-and-comers in the trumpet world who founded the Fredericksburg Brass Institute at an age when most of us weren't really doing much of anything.

Rex Richardson is one of the baddest cats on the planet. His jazz and classical trumpet playing are both some of the best you will find in the world and he is also a master teacher.

Amy McCabe plays trumpet and coronet in "The President's Own" Marine Band and appears as an in demand soloist all over the country.

Mary Bowden is the founder of Seraph Brass and is a frequently soloist and orchestral musician all over the United States.

Jeff Conner is one of the founding members of the Boston Brass (and my former colleague of 14 years) and has performed in 49 states and almost 40 countries around the world.

Dan Gosling is a former member of the Indianapolis Symphony who created the Chop Saver lip balm. His story is so fascinating I interviewed him again for The Entrepreneurial Musician which is linked below.

Chad Winkler is a member of the trumpet section of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and is one hell of a nice guy considering the fact he's a Penguins fan.

Tage Larsen is currently a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra trumpet section and is formerly a member of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band as well as my former colleague (way back when!) in Dallas Brass.

Andrew Balio is Principal Trumpet of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and has formerly appeared with the Oslo Philharmonic and the Israel Philharmonic. This episode has a lot of sheep. No really.

Joey Tartell teaches trumpet at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He is a duel threat classical and jazz virtuoso who is also one of the world's great teachers on any instrument.

Phil Snedecor teaches trumpet at the Hartt School and is the co-founder of The Washington Symphonic Brass. He is also a prolific composer and arranger and has appeared all over the world with ensembles like the National Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
