Top Five Jams of 1996

WHAT: A musical deep dive into the Top 5 Jams of 1996 to raise money for The Mockingbird Foundation featuring special guest @chopaganda

WHEN: Tuesday, April 5th at 8:30 pm Eastern (also available to stream afterwards via the Hitz Academy Library)

WHERE: This event is being held on Zoom

COST: Admission is $25 with 100% of proceeds going to The Mockingbird Foundation

Join me and special guest Chop (@chopaganda) on Tuesday, April 5th at 8:30 pm Eastern as we raise money for The Mockingbird Foundation!

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, Mockingbird announced that we would be giving out 25 $1,000 tour grants in 2021. (A tour grant is an unsolicited grant from The Mockingbird Foundation to a school or nonprofit that could really use financial support in each community where Phish performs.)

Phish played in 19 different cities in 2021 and Mockingbird ended up awarding 20 tour grants (we certainly weren’t going to cancel on the school that had been selected near Lake Tahoe when those shows were moved and also awarded one to a school near Shoreline!)

We are awarding five additional tour grants to round out the 25. We have chosen a school near where each of the Top 5 Jams of 1996 were played, the year of our founding.

We will be doing deep dives into each of the five jams via breaking down specific clips and discussing what exactly is happening musically. There will also be a chance to ask questions.

We will be unveiling our list of the Top 5 jams of 1996 at the event as well as the five nearby schools that will receive unsolicited tour grants. These five schools will split all money raised from this event in addition to receiving a standard $1,000 tour grant.

The cost of attending this event is $25 with the ability to donate more towards these tour grants at the event.

100% of all money raised goes to support tour grants from the mockingbird foundation

Can’t make it live? This event will be available to stream after the fact via the Hitz Academy Library. The link to donate additional money that goes directly to these tour grants will be open for a week after the event.

We look forward to nerding out with you over some great Phish jams while raising money for five schools in need who have no idea any money is coming their way.

We sure hope to see you there!
